Marcus Brigstocke

Marcus Brigstocke

Marcus Brigstocke, one of the UK’s favourite writers and live comedy performers, is as confident, hilarious and mesmerising on stage as he is on screen.

Always a comedian at heart, Marcus only took to the stage during his time at university, and soon took the Bristol comedy scene by storm. Winning the BBC New Comedian award in 1996, and taking his show to the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time, Marcus could not have known that he would be selling out at the iconic festival, every year thereafter.

A regular on panel shows such as Have I Got News for You, QI and Would I Lie to You, Marcus is a familiar face on UK TV. In movies Marcus appeared as a DJ in Richard Curtis’ Love Actually, and alongside Kevin Spacey in Beyond The Sea – the life story of Bobby Darin.
