Verint Systems UK Limited – Partner Event 2022 Terms and Conditions

In these terms and conditions (“Event Terms”) Verint means Verint Systems UK Limited, 241 Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 0RH (“Verint”) attention: Marketing EMEA [email protected]

Participation in the Event

In these term and conditions, Event means the Verint event advertised or offered in relation to which each invited participant has agreed to register.

By registering for the Event, you agree that these Event Terms apply to your registration, attendance logistics and participation at the Event.  If the individual completing the Event registration is registering on behalf of, or for the benefit of any other attendee(s) or guests, then the acceptance of these Event Terms by such individual constitutes the representation by such individual that they are authorized by the attendee(s) to accept these Event Terms for and on behalf of such attendee(s), including but not limited to, providing consent for the processing of such attendee(s) personal data and Image as further specified in these Event Terms.

All registrants for the Event must be at least 18 years old in order to register and participate in the Event and the Event Terms shall not apply any person of lesser age.  Any obligations upon Verint in the Event Terms in respect of any individual of a lesser age shall be void.

All references to “you”, and “your” in these Event Terms shall mean for all purposes the individual(s) (including guests) permitted to be registered to attend the Verint Event and all references to “personal data” shall mean for all purposes personal data as defined by applicable law. You agree that you have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent.

Verint – Alteration, Postponement or Cancellation of Event

Verint will strive to adhere to the advertised Event schedule but reserves the right in its absolute discretion to alter the package (i.e. location, date, features etc.), if deemed necessary and in the best interest of the Event.

If the Event is postponed for any reason, the attendee’s registration under this Agreement will be immediately transferred to the rescheduled Event (if any) and attendee will receive a confirmation from Verint.  If Verint elects not to reschedule the postponed Event then Verint shall offer a full refund for any pre-paid fees made by you (or on your behalf) to the payment method used at the time of the original booking (excluding card payment/refund fees levied by any card provider used by you).

Attendee – cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration or transfer your registration to another member of your company by providing written notice to Verint via email at [email protected] at any time prior to the Verint Event. However, you will only be entitled to a full or partial refund of the applicable percentage your registration fees specified in the Event Terms Cancellation Policy if notice of cancellation is received by Verint on or before the applicable cut-off date specified in the Event Terms Cancellation Policy. Except as expressly stated in these Event Terms or otherwise approved in writing by Verint, registrations are non-cancellable and all amounts are non-refundable.

Your Personal Details

Except as expressly set out in these Event terms and conditions, any personal data captured by Verint during registration for the Event and whilst attending the Event will be subject Verint’s Privacy Policy.

By registering for an event organised by Verint, you agree that the personal details registered with Verint for the Event may be used to communicate the location, timetable and other arrangements for attendees (including dietary requirements or medical conditions).  This may include disclosure and processing of relevant personal details to Verint’s appointed third parties engaged for the purposes of the Event including for the purposes of administrating accommodation, dietary requirements and transport links to and from the Event.

Travel to the Event, Food and subsistence

You are responsible for making travel arrangements to reach the Event location provided that where notified to you by Verint in writing, Verint will arrange airport transportation from the relevant air terminus to the Event location in accordance with the applicable published. Should you miss the scheduled transfer arranged by Verint (to or from the Event), you will be responsible for making alternative arrangements at your own cost.

Verint will make available food and drink packages, which are managed third parties on Verint’s behalf, throughout the Event based on known dietary requirements.  Verint cannot verify that all food and drinks are suitable for consumption by individuals subject to specific dietary requirements and any special or urgent dietary requirements should be made known to Verint on registering for the Event or latest upon arrival at the event.  Please notify any requirements not specified Verint’s booking form to [email protected] clearly marked as such.

During the Event

During the Event, you consent to being photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded which may be published by Verint during or after the Event in any and all media throughout the world in perpetuity.

Guest Speakers

Guest speakers at the Verint Event are not employees of Verint and the views and opinions of guest speaker are entirely their own and in no way reflect the views and opinions of Verint.

Liability

Verint expects that all attendees will comply with COVID-19 policies and procedures made known to attendees in advance of the Event, which may include but not be limited to completion of a pre-arrival screening survey to confirm that attendees are not then-currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive or knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 within a certain timeframe.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE FULLY AWARE THAT TRAVELING TO OR ATTENDING THE EVENT CARRIES WITH IT THE INHERENT RISK OF CONTRACTING COVID-19 THAT CANNOT BE ELIMINATED REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT VERINT IS TAKING REASONABLE STEPS TO MITIGATE THE RISK OF TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19 AT THE EVENT. VERINT FOLLOWS THE INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL GUIDELINES COMMENSURATE WITH THE LOCATION OF THE EVENT AND WILL WORK WITH OUR VENUE PARTNERS TO IMPLEMENT THE RECOMMENDED COVID-19 MEASURES AND POLICIES IN THE INTEREST OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL ATTENDEES. COVID-19 INFECTION MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH. YOU HEREBY VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT AND ASSUME (AND HOLD VERINT HARMLESS FROM) ALL RISK OF LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, SICKNESS, DEATH, DAMAGE, AND EXPENSE ARISING FROM ANY EXPOSURE OR TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19 WHILE TRAVELING TO OR ATTENDING THE EVENT. YOU AGREE YOU WILL NOT ATTEND THE EVENT IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19, HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 WITHIN 14 DAYS PRIOR TO OR AT ANYTIME DURING THE EVENT.

Verint is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of an alteration, postponement or cancellation of any Event and shall assume no liability whatsoever if this is due to force majeure, unforeseen occurrence or any other cause that renders performance of the Event impracticable or impossible.  Force majeure shall include, but not be limited to; act of god, pandemic, war, fire, labour strike, cancellation by the venue, extreme weather or other emergency beyond the control of the Verint.

Verint is not responsible for your or any other attendee’s conduct while at the Event. You agree to hold Verint harmless for any loss, personal injury or death that may occur at the Event caused by you.  Verint shall only be liable for direct losses caused by Verint’s material breach of the Event Terms or negligence up to the value of GB£1,000 per attendee and shall not otherwise not be liable for any other losses howsoever caused during the Event PROVIDED THAT nothing in these Event Terms shall exclude Verint’s liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Verint, its employees, contractors or servants. These Event Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and you (and the organisation which your are is employed by or which you represent) submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
